The LEAP Personalized Learning Survey

Many schools across the United States have recognized the inherent need to implement educational reforms in order to combat achievement gaps among diverse populations, inequality of instruction, and poor testing scores which indicate an input-output system that fails to foster deep learning and knowledge along with career-ready skillsets for our students to succeed in a 21st Century World. An emerging and highly promising methodology of implementing Personalized Learning in the Classroom through the LEAP Framework, created in 2016 by LEAP Innovations. The LEAP Learning Framework was designed through intense collaboration with National Experts in Education, teachers, and school leaders. The primary objective was to define what Personalized Learning is, and design a model for educators to put it into daily practice. A key component of LEAP is the Personalized Learning Survey implemented as a means of obtaining valuable insights into teacher practices and student experiences in the classroom. The Survey results provide a unique perspective on students’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as preparedness.

I have created a sample Teacher Survey aligned with the LEAP Learning framework that could be used to help teachers evaluate their own preparedness to personalize learning for students.
